Estate valuation worksheet template
When to use it
- You have the asset figures and debts and need to work out whether Inheritance Tax is due.
- You are completing the probate application or HMRC forms and need the gross and net figures.
- You want a single working sheet to check before submitting anything.
How to use it
- Total the assets first, then subtract the debts — the gross and net values feed directly into the forms.
- List gifts made in the seven years before death separately; they can affect the tax position.
- Keep the evidence (statements, valuations) behind the worksheet, in the same order.
