Accessibility statement
We want this service to be usable by people who are grieving, tired and often unfamiliar with legal language.
Last reviewed: 6 August 2026
Our commitment
We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. That means readable text sizes, sufficient colour contrast, full keyboard navigation, clear focus states, labelled form fields and content that works with screen readers.
Plain language
Legal terms are explained the first time they appear and are collected in a glossary. Questions are asked one idea at a time, and no page assumes prior knowledge of probate.
Known limitations
Some uploaded documents are supplied by third parties, for example a scanned will, and may not be accessible. Where that happens we describe the content in text.
Feedback
If any part of this service is difficult to use, email help@applyforprobateonline.co.uk and tell us what you were trying to do. We treat accessibility problems as defects.
